Galvanized High Strength Nuts

    Do high-strength nuts need to be galvanized? According to regulations, curtain wall components are generally galvanized, but there's no explicit rule regarding whether embedded parts of the curtain wall must be galvanized. It seems there's no such regulation, but it's mainly for corrosion prevention. In our current projects, all high-strength nuts are galvanized. Galvanizing high-strength nuts usually reduces their bond strength with concrete. Our construction method generally involves applying two coats of red lead paint to the exposed surface of the high-strength nuts, and then applying two coats of silver paint to the welded parts. This reduces the processing costs for the construction unit. High-strength nuts are galvanized as required. Generally, bridges must be galvanized. Galvanizing is mainly for corrosion resistance and a longer service life for the processed parts.
